How to Prevent Heat Loss in High-Ceiling Facilities

In high-ceiling hangars, warehouses and factories, warm air rises to the ceiling and a cold layer forms at floor level. This is called stratification and directly increases energy bills.

Ways to reduce stratification

The first step is to improve ceiling and façade insulation. In existing buildings, the most effective solution is radiant heaters that direct heat straight to the work zone. BTU tube radiant and BTI I-type models provide uniform heat distribution at high mounting heights.

Complementary measures

Air curtains at fast-opening doors, positioning machine groups to create heat islands and partitioning unused volumes provide additional savings.
